![]() The show is two and a half hours of good food and lots of entertainment. Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament is a fun night out. Just turn off your brain and scream like an idiot. While Medieval Times definitely has areas for improvement, there's no denying it's a hell of a lot of fun, and the high cost is justified by the huge cast and the horses. Protip: Pack a spork and a ziplock bag if you don't want to use your hands to eat. I don't know if the performers were too close to their mics or the sound system was jacked way too high. There's a surprising amount of dialogue in the show, but I couldn't understand much of it. Will honor and bravery overcome cowardice and treachery? You'll have to attend the show to see for yourself. It's fake, of course, but you'll find yourself cheering your heart out for your knight. Toward the end, when you're served a flavorless previously frozen chocolate eclair, the knights finally get down to the jousting and swordplay you came for. For children demanding the spectacle of combat, it can be a little dull. If you love horses, this stuff is impressive. ![]() You'll get one napkin and a wet wipe that's delivered later in the show.Īs for the show, it's mostly a bunch of horse prancing. There's tomato soup and half a roasted chicken, garlic bread and half a potato. The food is basic stuff, and you won't get silverware. You will cave because you already paid this much, so you might as well honor the sunk cost.Įventually, you'll be led to your table around the arena. Then you'll mill about a castle-like interior and your kids will beg you for a $17 plastic sword that lights up. (Blue Knight team, represent!) You'll pose for a picture. When you arrive, you'll get your paper crown, which determines which knight you'll root for. You're here to watch faux knights pretend to duke it out in a tournament of skill and bravery! If you got this food in actual medieval times, it would be the best meal of your life. The food is bad, but you're not here for the food. I'd recommend you go to this atleast once in your lifetime. The actors are great you eally feel like you have gone back in time. You will not leave hungry the portion sizes are huge and to immerse you in the experience you eat with your hands! Our wench (server) was amazing and make sure you tip they work hard to aide in the experience and keep things running smoothly. I got the VIP package deal which includes priority seating. Once you check in you receive your crown for the team you will be cheering for, I ended up in yellow section. There is a souvenir stand or of you want to purchase a Knighting ceremony or have an announcement in the show plenty of things to check out before. I'd recommend coming early to be able to take pictures in and around the castle. It's worth the price for the entertainment for about 2hrs and change. It is fun for the whole family, solo, or a date night. If you're looking for something fun and different in the area Medieval Times is the perfect spot for dinner and entertainment. ![]()
